Clean Cut Lawns is locally owned and operated. Founded in 2005 by Jon Hess, he started out in the field pushing a mower to fully learn what it takes to get the job done right and how to build customer relationships. Producing a great product, at a fair price and on a first name basis with all his clients, that was and still is the way that Clean Cut Lawns is run today.

With a loyal customer base and exceptional service, Jon set out to find a better way to provide service to the local market. In 2009, Jon decided to start composting grass clippings and tried out several different organic fertilizers.  After reading an article about the severe pollution from small engines, especially lawn mowers, he quickly realized that this was the next step. Propane was the answer, paving a new way in the way that landscape maintenance is performed in the Reno/Sparks communities. This changed would not affect costs and he is proud that the same great service that the clients came to expect and receive, the environment will receive as well.

Now that everything has come together, Jon and his team can offer the community a truly new way of doing lawn care. Reducing their green house gases and carbon dioxide cutting back dependency on foreign oil, and using safer, healthier ways to fertilize the lawns and plants, Clean Cut Lawns is proud to become Reno's first alternative fuel landscape maintenance company.
